| Abstract: | O presente estudo analisa os volumes 71 a 110 da Série Documentos Históricos e os de número 66 a 74 os Anais da Biblioteca Nacional (BN) do Rio de Janeiro (1946-1955). Todos foram preparados, editados e publicados durante o período em que José Honório Rodrigues (1913-1987) foi Diretor da Divisão de Obras Raras e Publicações da BN. O objetivo aqui é apresentar como a configuração deste material documental e sua difusão (impressa) correspondiam às estratégias de Rodrigues quanto à organização de um campo de saber historiográfico profissionalizado no Brasil. O lugar institucional assumia, pois, uma função dentro das iniciativas renovadoras de uma nova cultura historiográfica emergente nas décadas de 1940 e 1950. Ele fomentava a produção e a divulgação de informações históricas, autorizando fontes e intérpretes para as novas páginas da história do Brasil. |
| metadata.dc.description.abstracten: | This study analyzes the volumes 71-110 of the Historical Documents Series and the numbers 66-74 from the Annals of the Brazilian National Library (1946-1955). These were prepared, edited and published during the period in which José Honório Rodrigues (1913-1987) was the Director of the Division of Rare Books and Publications of the institution. The goal here is to show how the configuration of this documentary material and its dissemination (printed) corresponded to the strategies of Rodrigues in order to organize a field of knowledge (professionalized historiography) in Brazil. The institution took place and function of renewing initiatives within a new historiographic culture emerging in the 1940s and 1950s. It fostered the production and dissemination of historical information, authorizing sources and interpreters for the new pages of Brazilian history. |
