Resumo em outra língua: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that presents a group of disorders in communication and social interaction, social reciprocity, nonverbal communication behaviours used for interaction, and in skills to develop, maintain and understand relationships. It is known that the school inclusion of the student with ASD requires changes of thoughts and habits, involving coordinators, school employees, teachers, students and family, as well as the use of adapted teaching strategies in the Natural Sciences, such as the use of visual, tactile and hearing resources, inserting the student as the main agent of their learning. Thus, this work aimed to expand the knowledge of the teachers from the Association of Parents and Friends of People with Disabilities (APAE) of Itabirito, regarding educational adapted strategies for the teaching of natural sciences to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and that can constitute valuable tools to improve the learning of all students. In addition, five specific objectives were set: discover the main difficulties of teachers to teach students with ASD; Conduct, together with APAE teachers, five adapted activities to work with students with ASD; Create and conduct a mini-course presenting educational adapted strategies for students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder; Distribute an informative booklet about the adapted educational strategies presented in the lecture with the activities developed; and evaluate the relevance of the mini-course for APAE Itabirito teachers. The research consisted of a mini-course composed of theoretical and practical part, the delivery of a booklet containing information about ASD and suggestions of adapted activities that were presented during the mini-course. Three questionnaires were used as instruments to characterize the target audience, to know the difficulties in teaching for students with ASD and to verify the effectiveness of the mini-course. Thirty-one teachers answered the initial questionnaire, while twenty-four teachers answered the pre and post mini-questionnaire. 83.87% of the participating teachers have already received information about how to deal with students with ASD in the initial questionnaire. 74.19% reported that they perform activities adapted with these students. In addition, when asked about the difficulties in teaching students with ASD, answers such as getting to know the student, student behaviour and seeking student attention were recurrent. As for the teachers present on the day of the mini-course, 66% of the participants said they knew what is adapted educational strategies, but no participant explained it, only claimed to know the meaning. After completing the mini-course, it was observed that 91.66% of the teachers considered the mini-course relevant and 87.5% claimed that the mini-course helped them to construct practical activities adapted for students with ASD. 50% of teachers said they believed that the student with ASD had the potential to learn in a regular school while 25% still held the "maybe" in response. This research has shown that the applicability of short course, with the use of lecture and workshop practical activities, proved satisfactory, adding knowledge about the topic discussed. However, the continuing education of teachers for students with ASD is still complex, since the characteristics of this disorder are wide and are constantly discovering, impeding the development of solutions and imposing the need for constant updating.
