Resumo: Este artigo é um capítulo da tese de doutoramento em História Social da Cultura, na
Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, e trata da educação das mulheres das elites
políticas e econômicas brasileira no século XIX. O estudo amplia os lugares de formação
para o desempenho de filhas, esposas e irmãs, como a moda, como os salões de baile, a
etiqueta no se comportar e principalmente a “toalete” e as produções de moda. Ao mesmo
tempo que reafirmamos o lugar secundário que a educação escolar tem para as meninas
filhas das elites, discutimos seu papel como anfitreã no teatro social, cuja atuação era

Resumo: The aims of the present research are to assess the af-
firmative policies of the Medical School at Federal University
of Minas Gerais (UFMG) to analyze professors’ work at Ra-
cial Quota scope and changes in the university due to such
a process, and to better understand how professors in Med-
ical School face racial topics. It must be done by under-
standing labor as a core dimension since without workers
one could not talk about society, education, and economy.
Therefore, this research addresses labor from a perspective
that goes beyond utilitarian purposes. Questionnaires and
semi-structured interviews were used for data collection.
Professors in the Medical School Faculty, who have been
teaching since 2013, were the investigated subjects - this
year was chosen because this is the time when Racial Quo-
tas were put in place at UFMG. Changes in the higher edu-
cation scene due to the affirmative actions that have been
taken and the understanding of the Teaching Function as an
educative principle allowed professors’ work to overcome

Resumo: This paper discusses teaching work against the background of critically
understanding the tensions that permeate the work process of higher
education faculty, considering, centrally, the exercise of management
activities related to positions of leadership, coordination or direction and
representation in collegiate bodies in University. The research problem is
linked to the author's professional practice in view of the perceived silence
regarding the work of higher education professors in these activities. As a
strategy to achieve the general objective of the research, it was sought to
understand teaching work and the place that academic management
occupies in its professionality, identifying the implications of the training
process in the practice of the profession. In a qualitative approach, the
study was developed through the analysis of Memories of Promotion to
Full Professor of five professors from an Academic Unit of the Federal
University of Minas Gerais. The investigation had Narrative Research as
its methodological choice and as object of analysis the narratives of the
professors of higher education to understand the experience from the
perspective of management. Bardin's Content Analysis (2008) was used as
a method to operationalize the exploration of the research object, as well
as the treatment of results. The research results recognize that
professionals in higher education face the challenge of being a teacher-
researcher-manager on a daily basis within the logic of capitalist society,
permeated by contradictions that are expressed in the education and work

Resumo: Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a literatura como objeto museoló-
gico, a partir do estudo da exposição de longa duração Alphonsus de Guimaraens: po-
eta do luar, do Museu Casa Alphonsus de Guimaraens. A análise se fundamenta em
pressupostos da Pedagogia dos Multiletramentos e em conceitos bakhtinianos. A pala-
vra multiletramentos faz referência à multiplicidade de linguagens, à diversidade de
culturas e aos usos das tecnologias digitais nos processos de ensino e aprendizagem no
mundo contemporâneo. Assim, intentamos apresentar as diferentes salas que compõem
a exposição, procurando demonstrar como visitantes de um museu, de diferentes faixas
etárias, condições sociais e níveis de escolaridade podem se sentir pertencentes a esse
espaço, considerado de prestígio cultural e do qual é muitas vezes excluída grande par-
te da população brasileira. Conforme comentários feitos pelos visitantes, identificamos
de que maneira a produção literária alphonsina, bem como o acervo pessoal e familiar
do escritor, foram significativos nas experiências de leitura multimodal dos sujeitos,
